Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
How GLP Chart handles the health information you give us. This is a separate notice, in addition to our general Privacy Policy.
This notice covers consumer health data: the health information you choose to share with GLP Chart (glpchart.com) when you fill out the onboarding survey or join the research panel. It exists because some state laws (for example, Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's SB370) require a standalone health-data notice. Our general Privacy Policy covers everything else.
GLP Chart is a US service for adults. The survey and the research panel are offered only to US residents who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect health data from anyone under 18. If you are outside the US, please do not submit health data here.
1. What consumer health data we collect
Only what you choose to enter. The fields are: the GLP-1 medication you take, your dose, your primary condition, how many weeks you have been on the drug, your insurance type, side-effect ratings (a 0-to-3 scale), and self-reported weight or weight change. We tie these answers to the email address you give us, and we keep a one-way hashed version of your IP address (not the raw IP) as proof that consent was recorded. Every field is optional. You can submit with no answers and just confirm your email.
2. Why we collect it
- To personalize your results on the site (for example, showing programs that fit your insurance and condition).
- To run the outcomes panel. If you join the research panel, we email a short check-in about once a month so you can track your own progress, and your answers help our editorial reporting on real-world GLP-1 outcomes.
- For de-identified aggregate research, only if you separately opt in. This is a second, optional choice. It is never assumed.
3. Who we may share it with
We do not sell consumer health data. Full stop.
If, and only if, you give the separate research-share consent (the second checkbox, which is optional and off by default), we may combine your answers with other people's into group statistics and share only those group numbers with outside researchers, which may include universities and pharmaceutical companies. That sharing happens under written contracts that forbid the recipient from trying to re-identify you. An example of what leaves: "23% of compounded-semaglutide patients reported nausea at week 4." If you do not give that separate consent, your data is not shared for research at all.
Separately, our email provider (Beehiiv) processes your email address so we can send you the monthly check-in and the Monday price report. Your health answers (medication, dose, condition, weeks on the drug, weight, side-effect ratings) are never sent to Beehiiv or to any other third party. We confirm this with an automated firewall test on every build.
4. Your data is never shared identified
We never share your individual record. Before any group statistic leaves GLP Chart, your email, name, and other direct identifiers are removed, and only group numbers go out. The hashed IP value is for our internal audit trail and is never part of what we share.
5. Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- Access the health data we hold about you.
- Correct it if something is wrong.
- Delete it.
- Withdraw your consent (either the panel-join consent, the research-share consent, or both).
To do any of these, email privacy@glpchart.com. To stop the monthly check-in email, you can also just reply STOP to any check-in. Stopping the emails does not delete your stored answers on its own; email us if you want deletion too.
6. No trackers on health pages
We do not use a Meta Pixel or any other third-party advertising tracker, anywhere on the site. On any page where you enter health information, no analytics and no third-party tags load at all. Your survey and health answers are never sent to an analytics tool.
